Antenna's
The Rover antennas have changed over the years.
Started out with a dual banded 440-144 mag mounted antenna with a vertical 5/8 wave vertical for 6m
Then added a drive on mast and a 3-el 6 meter beam
Then upgraded to a set of 6/144/432 KU4AB Loops when Phil lived outside of Memphis.
Next upgrade was adding stacked loops with phasing harnesses.
Then added a 222 transverter and 222 KU4AB stacked loops.
Then I learned about "Cheap Yagis" and build some out of CPVC, Wood and welding wire and got 1:1 SWR on all antennas 144/432/222
This worked well, upgraded to a Cushcraft 10 element 430 beam
Next upgrade was the Directive System Rover antennas
Purchased the Rover estate from K5UHF and added some stacked M2 HO Loops
I have the option of running the loops and the beams, but end up using the beams to have a little more reach for distant stations such as K5QE that help mentor me in the Roving world.
